Is the CIA - Certified Internal Auditor - certification recognized in Canada?

I think its recognize world wide.
CA,CGA and CMA is more accounting designation and good for those people who only wants to go for accounting.
I have seen internal auditors who have no experience in financial audit but they are working as internal auditors.
One thing i noticed that not many people have CIA designation in Canada and CGA and CMA don't go often for CIA

But I would recommend anybody to get CIA, its worth having this

I've only met one individual with that designation and he was from the states.

In Canada, the common accounting designations are: CGA, CMA, and CA.
