Well currently i'm the assistant manager at a buffet restaurant and also an accounts clerk.How do i word this in my cover letter, cos i 1st started off as a normal waiter.So should i say i've 7yrs experiences as an accounts clerk and assistent manager.Also in an phone interview, what can i say about references where i've only worked their for 3 wks.thks
In your letter I would note that you have worked for the company for seven years which is a big plus with employers and also note that during that time you have been promoted several times until you finished as an assistant manager and accounts clerk. This is some very solid information for your cover letter.
As for the references from a job you only held for three weeks, I would be prepared to answer why you left so quickly. The company won't have much to say about you but your future employer will be concerned that you may leave them very quickly as well.
