Title Insurance Training and Agency--How to Start? |
How does one start working as a settlement officer? Assume that one does not want to apply for a job at a company but wants to be independent or have an agency. Assume that one also has a related business and wants to offer this service and that licensing is not an issue. Which title insurers would welcome an applicant who has no experience? A settlement officer would normally refer to a Escrow Officer or a Title Officer depending on the state your in. The position requires a good amount of training, E & O insruance and is not typically done independatly. I would consider becoming a Notary Signing Service conducting and Notarizing loan documents for a title\escrow company.
