Parathyroid vs thyroid- whats the difference?

hope this helps :)
The thyroid is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. This gland is found in the neck just below the Adam's apple. The thyroid controls how quickly the body burns energy, makes proteins, and how sensitive the body should be to other hormones.

The parathyroid glands are small endocrine glands in the neck, usually located behind the thyroid gland, which produce parathyroid hormone.

Not exactly a "Financial Services" question, but I'll give it a shot. They are both glands, located at the base of your neck, very close to one another. I know the thyroid is involved with metabolism of the body, not sure the exact purpose of the parathyroid.
the parathyroid processes your calcium intake
