Can a bank refund overdraft fees if the reeason was that your job did not pay you on time?

My fiance works for the govt. When he travels he has to pay all travel expenses and his job refunds him at the end of the month. He recently spent about $1500 on a work trip and did not get his refund on time, so his account went in overdraft. Do you think the bank would be kind enough to refnd overdraft for that reason? Or should his job be responsible for the fees? No rude answers please.

I've had that same problem and no, the bank won't.
His job should be responsible for the overdraft(s) if they were truly at fault.
If it is a local bank that you have a good relationship with, maybe.
However, if it is one of the 'big' banks, not a chance.
You can always ask. However, they may not comply with your request. They also may remove some. It never hurts to ask.
It is possible the bank would work with him on this....but I doubt it, because it was not their fault. If it truly is the fault of his employer.....then they should be the responsible party. BUT most direct deposit employers state upfront that the money will be in your account on an APPROXIMATE date....they don't usually guarantee the date. That way they cover their butts in case of human error. It is worth try to ask both bank and employer....what is the worse that could happen? I will cross my fingers and toes for ya.
1. How many times are you going to post this question
2. It's spelled "reason" not "reeason". You misspelled it in both postings. Use spell check.
3. It's your fiance's fault. He knew how much was going in and how much was going out. He also got an advice about the amount of the deposit. He should have paid attention.
The bank will not give back the overdraft fees. Your fiance is at fault. He should have watched his account. Unless his employer paid him late (in which case they should either send a letter to the bank stating the cause of the overdraft, or simply refund his money) they are not at fault. Please make him learn to be more responsible with his money before you get married. After you are married, his debt is your debt.
no.
I called my bank. When it happend to me. The rep. told me the bank has nothing do with refunding because i withdrew over the limit. Either wait until money in your account gets there or pay the fee. Or get overdraft protection.

Pretty self explaintory, what bank told me.
