I'm fifteen and I made some cash selling Diablo II items online. You need time though
well you're legal now so go stand on the street corner.

You could ask your friends and family if they know anyone you could help with baby sitting, dog walking, car washing, gardening or even shopping. Alternatively, you could put a note up at the local shop, laundromat, etc offering your services.

One of my sons started earning his own money at about 13 by delivering papers (he learnt to get up early too!). Both sons started working in McDonalds when they were 16 and a quarter. They could pick their shifts to fit in with school, had a proper training programme and the pay rate was not bad. They learned a lot about food hygiene, the discipline of work and to get up early ... I don't know if MacD/like companies still employ people at 16.

Maybe your local store needs shelf stackers or staff for the tills or the garage needs someone to wash cars?

Maybe a relative/friend would help you take stuff to a car boot sale? You could collect things that are no longer wanted and take along your old toys/stuff. Tip: get there early and be organised! With this, you don't have to wait for someone to employ you.

If you're creative, maybe you can make things to sell. This might be jewellery, sewn items, whatever. I know people who make fridge magnets, greetings cards, soft toys, etc and sell them to local shops. (The shops will want to know they'll be able to get regular supplies.) If you have your own email address, you could sign up for Freecycle.com and maybe you'll be able to get the materials you need for nothing.

Hope these suggestions get you thinking.

if you have extra money in your savings that you won't use in several months such as 3 or 6 months - you can put it in a cd at the bank for 4 or 5percent interest rate. Look for the high rates.
