Are paydates the same for everyone? |
I know everyone typically gets paid every other Friday. But are we all typically paid on the same two dates? For example, are we all typically paid on 8th and 22nd of June. Or does it vary so that some are paid on the 8th and 22nd, and some are paid on the 15th and 29th? Companies pay on different dates, depending on their policy. Some pay twice a month (usually 1st and 15th), some pay monthly, some pay weekly, the list goes on. They can pay on any day of the week. Within a company, pay dates can vary by employee category. Non-exempt employees might get paid twice per month, while exempt employees are paid monthly. But in every situation I know about, the non-exempt employees would all be paid on the same dates, as would the exempt employees. Typically there is only one pay date for all employees within an organization. Some companies pay employees bi-weekly on a specific day of the week and others are paid on the 15th and 30th of each month. Hope this helps! Exempt employees that are paid bi-weekly can either be paid twice per month (24 paychecks per year) or every two weeks (26 paychecks per year). I have also seen some instances where employees were paid weekly or monthly. Yes, it varies. My wife and I are both paid biweekly but not on the same days. Yes it varies a lot, i get paid once a month... i get paid on the first of the month... You are out of your mind...people don't all get paid on the same day...Some are paid every week...some every 2...some twice a month (no this isn't the same as every other week trust me I got paid this way at my last job)...some get paid once a month...it depends on the job and the employer. It varies. |
