If you want to be a financial analyst, do you must have strong math skill?

All math subjects, or particular? Which?

10 pts. for good or detailed answer.

You do have to have good math skills, and I'd say you have to have all math subjects. The only exception might be some of the advanced engineering, or conceptual physics math.

You need to be able to fundamentally understand the basic money system, including interest rates, compounding, probability and all the business math that goes along with it.

You need to understand graphical math equations because so much of an analysts job is graphing, so you have to be able to use Trigonometry, calculus and advanced geometry so that you understand business curves that predict future trends.

If you had to ask what one of the most math oriented jobs in the world were, I'd say that financial analysts was high on the list. Higher even than engineering, even though the math for engineering is higher, I think they use it less often.Adding and subtracting would probably be important
i would think so. you have to use all those formulas and what not.. i am suffering through that class in college right now....
Yes! Math skills and a good business sense is key to being a financial analyst. But if its what you want to do then ignore what you should have and use what you do.
You need to have strong math skills in general and specifically in statistics. Also, you need to have good communication skills. You need to be able to write a proper sentence with correct spelling and grammar.
Yes, anything in the field of finance or business and accounting requires good math skills. Throughout your college education, you will be required to take a number of math courses to earn a degree that allows you to have a career in financing.
