I am a junior in college hoping to become an financial analyst at one of the top investment banks (Goldman/Merrill). Assuming that I get the internship (summer analyst) for next summer, will they help with housing in NYC? If not will the stipend I make be enough to sublet a place?
the 'moving allowance' (i think that's what they called it) was $4k or $5k.
I went to NYU and I know that some of the larger banks blocked out rooms at some of the downtown NYU dorms. Expect to spend $1,000 to $1,500 per month for a room at one of the NYU dorms (sharing a bedroom with another person)
Could you do better on craigslist? Probably. The upside to the dorms is that you're with people your age (not that you'll have a life) and that you've got internet, furniture, etc. taken care of. |
