Is Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)a good option??

i completed my b.tech now. i would like to study more about stock investments. If yes, from where should i get it??
Is ICFAI tripura good?? Are there any other institutions offerin this??
Is CFA Institute good??(http://www.cfainstitute.org)

To answer your questions: yes, outside of India, yes, yes and no.

1. Yes, the CFA charter is a good option for those individuals who seek a career in investment analysis. That is, it is the designation of choice for stock analysts, credit analysts, fund managers, hedge fund managers, traders, risk analysts and portfolio analysts. However, there may be "better" choices for adjacent careers (e.g. financial planners).

2. The High Court of India has ruled that the CFA exam may not be taken in India, because it is not a registered school. Leave it to Indian bureaucracy to create this problem. While this may be overturned, currently you can ONLY take the exam outside of India. As a result, you will have to fly somewhere to take the exam.

3. I personally do not have any experience with the ICFAI. I can only speak from my personal experience and those of my friends/colleagues who have taken the CFA exam. I recommend Schweser and Stalla Notes. The former is succinct and helped me pass the exam three times in a row with no problem. The latter is a bit more detailed and has helped my friends immensely.

4. ICFAI Tripura is supposedly as good as the other as the examination material is the same.

5. Yes. There are many, many organization that offer preperatory classes for the CFA exam. Again, I recommend Schweser & Stalla.

6. Not for studying. The CFAI is the mother organization. This is the company that creates and administers the exams. They DO NOT have study courses that prepare you for the exam. They do help you get some of the source study material, but that is a waste of time as there is WAY too much material to read and you are better off with a study course. Source(s): CFA charter holder
CFA is absolutely a great credential. I work in the investment business and know CFA's get paid better than others and have many more job options.
