Is Metlife a good company to work as a financial advisor? |
Is Metlife a good company to work as a financial advisor? No, they have a terrible training program, if you can call it that. Try Northwestern Mutual. Research them and get a since of their reputation. Source(s): Intern I have heard that they are pretty good. I needed some insurance work (on a death claim) from a very old policy that needed research and the local agent did it all for me and was very nice. Some of their investment products are pretty good. I like Edward Jones for financial help. But the main thing is going to someone that you like and think will do the best job for you. The agent at the company is more important than the company, I think. Talk to more than one....Compare compensation packages and how leads are generated and such. I have heard good and bad things about being an advisor for Met. Other than the commissions and compensation you'll need to be comfortable with the people you work with directly. Do your homework as best you can. Don't interview with only one firm. To become Insurance advisor in any life insuracne company you should undergo 100 hrs IRDA training program. Before selecting the company for advisorship, first know about company and products. If you are convinced about products and brand image is good then surely you can become advisor of that company. Basing on this take a decision. Met Life is good company. No doubt on that. |
