What are some questions that might be asked by a interviewer for someone applying for a bank teller position? |
So i'm heading to a interview for a bank teller position tomorrow. I don't have the first clue on things they might ask or expect from me, anything would help!! Thanks! Do you have any cashier or similar experience with cash handling? How will you react to an irate customer. What type of customer experience do you have. What will you do if notice something suspicious. If you see an employee stealing money or other merchandise what will you do? If someone ask you to do something against company policy will you do it? How will you react to a bank robbery attempt? They make ask about a customer experience you had before nice or irate and how you deal with the situation? Don't forget to sell yourself that is the best thing. Good luck! it depends on the bank you apply for. i worked at a few so i'll run down what they mostly do during the interview process... They will probably interview you with a manager, who will ask you if you have handled cash before, if you worked with customers, your work experience, etc. They will ask how you handle difficult situations, maybe also for specific examples of how you have handled difficult customers. they will want to know if you have ever been fired from a job,. They will probably also make you take a math test (easy stuff, just adding/subtracting, dollars and cents. ) the test might ask a question like how many nickles are in a dollar, or something like that. Also, you can expect they will make you sign a paper saying they are going to pull your credit to see if you are heavily in debt. GOOD LUCK! be thorough with check details such as how many types of cross lines are made on cheques & what is the purpose of each. experience in cash handling & cheques & details of drafts. |
