I have received a postcard from Hirsh-Rothstein Group offering financial assistance. Is this an honest company From all I have seen, stay away. simple rule - if it comes to you without requesting it ....... straight to the bin. + if its financial and it comes to you without you requesting it then its a con or a rip off. Ive never heard of them. Any one who is legit will be regulated by the Financial Services Authority if they are wanting to assist by lending you money. You can check them out on the FSA website if theyre registered, but it should say so on any advertising materials. If they want to advise you on debt management etc then go to the cab or cccs who can give you the same advice free. If they want to advise you about mortgages etc youre prob better off going to a local broker or high street lender. One word - Postcard!!!!? If you receive ANY information from a company/organisation that you have NOT contacted in any way, it is HIGHLY likely it is a SCAM. No its a scam The website looks legitimate, but they are not part of the internet BBB, nor do they have an affirmed reputation on a couple of the major credibility sites (verisign, gold seal) As far as I know, it is a reputable business, but anything coming via mail that is not in response to your request is nothing more than a solicitation for business. In this case your business. They want to loan you money. If you need money contact them and let them give you their spill, it won't hurt to listen, and you can at least learn from it. |
