I have an associate degree in economics. What type of entry level job can I look?

Fwhat qualification do I need to get into an entry level financial analyst?

an associates degree in economics isn't a lot to get into economics related job. What you need is a 4 year degree and specialization in economics. You can though inquire about state jobs and for bookkeeping type jobs if your bookkeeping skills are up to par, and become a financial analyst there.
I used a career consulting service when I graduated. Use Learntosucceed.biz They give you a CD-Rom of their materials(Leadership, Communications, Interviewing...) and a phone number where you can talk to the author on their advice line. It was great talking to a Wall Street veteran (the author) about my own specific situation. It was also fantastic that my total cost was $30. I found it extremely helpful
Check out their site.

p.s. I'm an economics major so I understand what you are saying
You can fetch my lunch and coffee...
