Whats the best way for someone to set up a social network? |
More specifically for finding a job Whatever you can think of there is probably already a professional network out there. If not at your city, you can always contact the head office to start a local chapter. What particular profession and industry are you interested? Do a quick Google search using your industry as a keyword, plus society or association or organization etc. Best wishes. Chance are that you already have one. Network with your wife, inlaws, parents, sisters, or anyone that you know and just let them know that you're looking. They might see a fit for you or know someone. Also, get involved with local social outfits. You might want to check Learntosucceed.biz Their a career consulting firm that offers materials on this topic and other important job skills. I purchased their CD-Rom and found it very helpful. Best thing was that for the $30 price, they sent me the phone number to their advice line. I was able to talk to the author of the materials for personalized advice. The CD-ROM covers networking, interviewing, developing leadership skills...Everything I needed to get off to a good start after being hired. |
