Im was making min. wage @ 5.50 and now it went up to 5.85?

when should i ask for my real raise , i've been at whataburger for almost 5 months and im always there when they call me in on my days off, and i never call in.. so when should i ask!?!

I don't know how old you are but my daughter was making twice as much as this working at Coles as a check out assistant when she was 15. If you've left school then go back to night school get a descent education then a good job and start earning real money. I can't believe it when I here of adults earning this kind of money in the U.S. when they are surpossed to be living in the land of milk and honey. Unskilled American workers are exploited by the rich.
Immediately. You are the type of person they can't afford to lose. Don't be coy, just let them know, if they will not give you a raise , you will go to McDonald's. The manager knows you are reliable and needs you. Just don't be like, " Uh, Uh, do you think...." You need to be like, " Mr./Mrs./Ms... You know I work hard and am dependable. I want to know when my raise is going to be effective."
I would wait about 3 months and ask for another one. Let them know that you've done a great job, and want to be compensated for it. Good luck
Those wages are horrible. You should be looking at another job.
