What are some interview questions to practice for Big 4 or other public accounting jobs? They expect to ask you questions...so consider asking the following (it will catch them off guard): 1. What specifically differentiates you from the other major public accounting firms? 2. How effective do you feel that Sarbanes-Oxley has been at curbing corporate fraud? 3. What is the most effective way your firm markets itself? 4. How do you feel the credit crunch especially in the sub-prime market will affect business in the long term? Try these...you'll definitely make an impression. It is no different from other accounting firms except: - They are looking for people who are driven, either wanting to pursuit more professional designations (CPA, CA etc) - People who are flexible, i.e. willing to work long hours - People who are willing to travel - People who are ambitious. So, if you can somehow communicate convincingly that you are one of these people in addition to demonstrating your accounting skills you will do well. Best wishes. |
