When your Boss Discriminates against you how do you get rid off him or report him asap? |
When your Boss Discriminates against you how do you get rid off him or report him asap? You need to do three things: 1)document everything that happened to you, 2) talk to human resources, 3) talk to your local labor board and file a complaint. Call your local Department of Labor. More information required. http://www.dol.gov/ Document EVERYTHING so you have a record of what happened, when & how. Go to the HR department & let them know you think there's been a case of discrimination. Ask for their advice in dealing with it. If your HR department has an Employee Relations person go to that person. You need to keep good records. Also, you need a lawyer. Having been in middle management for several years, I have the following advice. The creation and elimination of positions is almost always done with the approval of HR and the companies officers, so they are aware of your situation. First steel yourself for one of the worst experiences of your life. Be prepared to go to the very end and spend a lot of money, or don't start. Second, document everything, dates, times, names of other people present, exactly what was said, etc. Get copies of the job postings, etc. Most important get copies of your work efficiency reports. Third, go see an attorney specializing in labor law. A general practice attorney won't be sufficient unless you have more money to spend than the company. Pay close attention to what he tells you and do exactly what he says. The failure of following a minor insignificant detail can result in you losing your case and job. Fourth,To avoid wasting the courts time, the law requires you give the company a chance to resolve the matter themselves. So report it to management. Don't expect too much here as the Personnel Officers' first priority is to protect the company and it's officers since they can fire him. Fifth, Expect management to attack you with everything they can find to use against you. Things you have said and done will be portrayed in a light beneficial to the company and its officers. Lastly, even if you win, you will have a hostile work place that will make it impossible for the average person to remain at their job, and you will leave with a bad recommendation that will prevent your getting another job. Good Luck |
