Will a bank hire me if I have a bankruptcy or poor credit? |
Will a bank hire me if I have a bankruptcy or poor credit? It is against the law to do so. You have to have a good crediting rating, and no criminal record. Source(s): I work in a major bank and have had to go through all the necessary background checks. Will not hire you with poor credit.. It might depend on age of bankruptcy, though...... Yes, it is a bonding issue. Temptation and access to commit crimes is the major concern with poor credit......Yes, somehow people on unemployment or between jobs are still expected to pay their credit card bills on time in order to be able to work again. A double standard. Check with the potential employer they have it posted clearly on their application or website! They have to inform you they will use your credit history to make a hiring decision before you apply. Even to work in a call center, they have the right to turn you down because you still work with social security numbers, account numbers and all kinds of things that could be sold or misused of you are in a cash crush. Think of all the embezzlement charges in any field when people have money problems..... What has your credit got to do with employment? No, they won't hire you if you have had to file for bankruptsy. It has to do with bonding insurance and such. Poor credit/bad credit, I am unsure about. experience possibly, depends on the position |
