What do i do in an open house? |
i am applying for a financial data analyst and the open house is tomorrow. I have never been to a open house. what goes on and how do i make the best impression? I really want this job!!! please help... You almost waited until it was too late. As it is this is 鈥渢he 11th hour鈥? FIRST & FOREMOST: Believe it or not, you get ONLY one opportunity to make a great first impression. Get properly groomed and wear your 鈥淪unday best鈥? #2: If you have a r茅sum茅 prepared, bring it. If its on 鈥渃heap鈥?inexpensive paper AND YOU ALREADY HAVE better quality stationery, by all means, print your r茅sum茅 on that better quality stationery. If you have the time, go to a stationery store or office supply store and buy that better quality letter size paper and matching note paper - together with matching envelopes for each sized paper. [I suggest 鈥淐rane鈥漖 The color should be white or off-white. #3: Be patient. Wait your turn. #4: Don鈥檛 swear! Watch your language. #5: Ask for a business card from each person interviewing you. Simply put it/them in your purse or pocket. #6: When the interview is completed, thank the person[s]. Buy the very best stationery and matching envelopes you can [I suggest 鈥淐rane鈥漖. Using your very best handwriting, hand-write a 鈥淭hank You鈥?note to each person who interviewed you. This is why you asked for the business card. #7: Do the same with the envelope. Use a stamp.
