Accounting Accountant in Las Vegas? Is finding a job in casino difficult or easy? I'm thinking about it.?

I currentlly live in California and Im studying Accounting and since I love everything about vegas, why not become an accountant for one of the major casinos? My question, (esp for those that live in vegas and acct/finance majors) is getting a job pretty easy at a casino as an accountant and is pay pretty good (compared to say if i stay and work at LA-entertainment industry). I really want get into the entertainment industry, but Vegas would be my #1 pick. Any thoughts? Advice? Answers?

I would recommend a phone call to one of the good accounting placement agencies such as Accountants On Call or Accountemps in Las Vegas. The Casinos will likely be using them to hire accountants and they can give you a good idea about the demand in the market for accountants and what the pay would be like n Vegas.

These same type of agencies exist all over and they are a great source for a job and for information. Source(s): Senior Financial Controller
