About to give up...need financial help!?

My husband and I are going through a really tough time right now and it things don't seem to be getting any better. Don't get me wrong, we are fine, as a couple, it is our financial life that seems to get worse everyday. My husband joined the Army in February and was gone for 4 and a half months. He was promised that he would still have his job when he got home. Well, they went back on their word. I was working and got laid off. It is extremely hard to find a job in the area that we lve in because it is such a small town. I mean, the closest Wal-Mart is 80 miles away. There aren't even even fat food restaurants around here except for one Burger King and they are not hiring. I don't mind traveling to work, but you have to have money to do that and we don't. My husband fund a job at a restaurant washing dishes and they are only paying him $150.00 a week. We were kinda counting on his Army Bonus when it came, but it still has not come. Anyone have any advice as to what we can do? Please?

Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act http://www.osc.gov/userra.htm

Have your husband speak to his unit commander about the company not holding his job for him. Read this act and see if he qualifies for protection under it. If so, the unit commander needs to follow up and see about getting his job back.
His job HAS TO give him a position at his old rate before they can hire ANYONE else. It is the law: Soldier and Sailors Civil Relief Act (SSCRA)

Your on the net, can you look for jobs in your local area using that??? Then use the 150 a week a gas money to travel until the money starts to come in again.
First of all, love the typo calling Burger King a "fat food" restaurant.

Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but it's a great typo.

Get another job. Or two. Clean houses. Offer to do yard work. Babysit. If you're income and outgo do not match up, you either have to increase your income or cut back on your outgo. Or do both.
your husbands job is protected by the government. any reservist or active duty employment who has a job is protected. they might not have the same position but they should still have another position avalable. tell your husband to sp/w his commanding officer for more info or the local recruiter. try looking at monster.com for employment in your area. if all else fails try day labor tell uyou get enough money and relocate. good luck.
Yeah, I know of one thing that can make you a little extra money and you don't have to do much at all. Contact me on messenger
