Whats the difference between a personal banker and a teller?

Whats the difference between a personal banker and a teller?

A teller works the "teller line," serving customers who walk in to make deposits, cash checks, etc. They mainly process actual transactions all day and do a great deal of cash handling.

A personal banker works at a desk opening new accounts, processing loan applications, etc.

A personal banker earns more. Source(s): work experience in both positions
Not much ..just a marketing tactic..
A teller is simply the counter person who handles counter transactions. A personal banker knows you well enough to be able to discuss your financial needs, and presumably would be paid more than a teller.
