Just got asked to go for an interview at victoria secrets, what should i expect in the interview and job? |
How much is the pay? biweekly or weekly? any perks? what will i be asked? With any retail job in the interview you can expect questions such as What makes you think you are right for this job? Why did you choose our company? What does costomer service mean to you? You could also expect some situation questions such as How you would handle an upset customer. Some perks for working in retail is usually the discount on the clothing which could be anywhere from 10-40% off of regular priced clothing. Pay probably starts out at minimum wage but I do believe V.S. has commission perks also. Usually pay in retail is bi-weekly. With the job you can expect to get annoyed by customers but yet also feel great satisfaction in helping someone find exactly what they were looking for. Managers and whatnot can begin to get on your nerves especially for part time employees, because managers can tend to act like your part time job should become your life, and begin to expect you to choose work over school etc. (This is not the case in all situations but can happen). Overall retail is a good place to begin job experience My daughter worked for VS for a few years and loved it. She only hated that she had to wear black to work everyday! Great discounts for the merchandise and good pay for full time employees (not so great for the part timers). My daughter loved the work, but was offered more money to help manage an American Eagle store. So, VS was a great stepping stone for her (I just miss her giving me the discounts on lingerie!!!). Good luck Great lingerie and some interesting clients! LOL |
