How should i deal with work?

i work at wendys and its all black people and im white and 16 and its not the blackness in the air that bothers me but the fact that im getting yelled at the whole time!!!!!!!! make burgers HURRY HURRY HURRY do this do that! BLAHBLAHBLAH!

Im making 6.50 an hour (more than most fast food places) but i just need some pointers on how to get through each day and stay happy and calm..

Well, it sounds like you'll need to take some time to get used to the "irritation". I've worked in retail and discovered that there are 3 kinds of people who work retail:

1) Someone who is born with the ability to take sh*t from people without letting it get to them

2) Someone who cannot stand when a customer does something as insignificant as looking at them funny

and

3) Someone who's able to learn how to block out the things that bother them by training oneself to only pay attention to the compliments and nice people

I'm a combination of the first and third person and I'm thinking that you might fall under the category of the third. So I would recommend just not paying attention to the annoying things and you'll learn to deal.

Hope this helps.
I would just get another job. You don't need that crap...and for 6.50 an hr. 4get it ..trust me u can find another job that pays that much anywhere

good luck
I an one who doesn't believe in running from problems so if you want to stick it out just think at 16 that paycheck is great it teaches you how to be responsible... If you want a way to make it easier to stomach try to make friends with one other individual that way you have one person who you can talk to about your job and they would understand better then some one who isn't working at Wendy's..... i commend you for coming here for answers because other 16 year old would just say enough of this noise I'm outta here
Give it all you've got the whole time you're there. Let any yelling at your roll off your back if it's unwarranted. If you really do need to work on your speed, then work on it.

Go home each day & calculate how much you made. If it's worth it, it'll help keep you focused. If it's not worth the trouble, then find something at a lower pay that you might enjoy more.
A fast food job is going to be fast paced so you should work on your speed. At 16 this is probally your first job so you should also work on letting the negative go at the end of the day.
One good way to do this is to focus on that paycheck.
If I smile at these people, I can buy.......
It always works if you focus on the goal, not on the moment.
Good Luck!!!
Make some friends at work.
Once you get used to the pace it'll be easier.

Stay calm by thinking that you can do this job... Your not the first person to work like this you won't be the last. Focus on getting one job at a time done.
