I want JUSTICE? |
I am working part time doing Gelato ice cream about 14 months and nothing happened. Till this Singapore based restaurant hired a Branch Manager who is from Europe a few months back. I came to understand that this company is not making money and he tries to keep his job by cutting costs n downsizing manpower. Infact he is drinking while on duty, enjoying the food and his job is only to say 'Welcome' in his language. He leaves his job early and sometimes he also disappeared. Two days ago a customer found two small pieces of transparent plastics or glasses in the ice cream. This Manager asked me if I heard about it asked do I have any explanation? I nodded. Later I said I hope everybody has got to be careful. He said 'I don't care and I don't want it to happen again.' The way he put is like that I am only to be blamed and I have to answer for it. I cannot guard the ice cream for 24 hours. It would be taken to another outlet and served by anybody. What would you do if you were me? The only justice for you will be at a new job. Quit this one and don't look back. Write a letter to the owner or HR department detailing the problems with your manager..... especially the drinking and leaving early. You can make it anonomys if you'd like. If it's a reputable company they will try to verify your story with other employees and thake corrective action against your manager. Complain to the owner. Tell the owner the only reason you are coming to him is because you don't want to dissatisfy the customers and you are being blamed for a lot of the problems, which you didn't do. Tell him you don't appreciate the new manager acting rudely to you. Also, I would tell him about drinking on the job. We had one of those type of people. The owners don't look up to them very highly. Quit and find something better. It sounds like neither the company nor your boss appreciate you and your 14 months of faithful service. There are better jobs out there, go find one. Unfortunately he's the boss. Remember the old saying don't cross the boss. You could try to get over his head but you'll probably get punished if he finds out. Trust me, the jerk bosses have a way of knowing all. |
