Can't find a good job.? |
i use the internet to find jobs. but it seems that they are all taken. or they are fake ad's. I don't want to "pound the pavement" like my friends and family say. Why? I don't have a car, and public transportation cost money(to much money) have you ever tried to get to San Francisco on bart? it sucks. way to many people. i good really bad luck. what would you do? Since you're posting this in the Food Service section, I'll assume you're looking for a food service job. In which case, the best thing to do is to check the websites of possible places directly. Once you've done that, just use the phone book...call the places and ask to speak to managers and explain that you are looking for work and are they hiring? Then, if you need to BART over there, at least you know you'll be spending transit costs for legitimate leads instead of fake ads. And once you actually start working somewhere, I'm sure that you'll be able to hit someone up for a small loan to cover your initial transit costs until you earn enough to pay the person back. you should babysit. I would pound the pavement. If you don't even want to do the work it takes to get a job, do you think an employer is going to want to give you a job? An offer isn't just going to fall into your lap. Especially when there are people who ARE willing to go do the legwork to get a job, who would you rather hire? Well, the reason you haven't found a good job is because you won't find one on the internet. Internet jobs are insurance, sales, and basically junk jobs that nobody wants. Put together a resume, get a haircut and hide any tattoos, take out any piercings and look like the "boy next door." Concentrate on getting a job close to your house so the transportation issue won't be as severe. Wear a polo and khaki pants. I'm sure that isn't how you really want to dress but this is the way you get hired. Go pound the payment. |
