Job application: references?

Ok, i am applying for a job and it has a spot where i have to put all my previous jobs. I listed all my jobs except for this past one. It was a very good job, looked good on the resume... But i kinda got fired for something bad and if i put that as a previous job i am afraid they might contact them and hear why i got fired and it will look even worse then not having the experience at all.... So the question is

Is the experience at my previous job enough to counter what i did to get fired? or should i leave my last job off of the application?

If they find out you lied they can fire you for it.

Also, you might slip up and mention it in the interview. I always ask candidates to describe the worst supervisor they ever worked for (no names). You might slip up and tell about a job you hadn't listed.

And the interviewer WILL ask about gaps in employment.
never leave a job our of an application, but did you have one friend or co-worker that you could put as a reference that won't rat you out. P.S. it is against the law for an employer to say something negative about a past employee it's known as defamation of character. But they can say the reason why you left the job so be careful. I hope i could help you.
If you leave it off the job application, you may have to explain the gap in time you supposedly were not employed. If it was only for a short time you worked there, and think they might reveal bad information about yourself, then leave it off. Keep in mind that most employers will not disclose much negative information about you by fear of being sued for slander.

If you do decide to include it, be prepared to have some explaining to do to your new prospect employer, as they will definitely find out about your being fired.

It really depends on how thorough they are with actually checking references. I've had companies contact every single reference on my application, and I've also worked for major companies with a total BS resume & where they obviously didn't check out any of my BS references. If you don't want to take a chance just leave it out.
