What do i wear and how do i act for a job interview?

First off don't wear casual clothes (jeans, t-shirts, etc.), nothing turns me off a candidate for a job quicker when interviewing them. It says to me I don't care about this interview.
If you are a man dress pants, shirt, and tie are the way to go. And no crazy ties. You may like your fish tie, but chances are your interviewer won't.
If you are a woman the options are a little more flexible. Skirts are fine (nothing shorter than just above the knee), so are pant suits. As far as the top goes, button up is best.
Remember as far a clothes go for interviews conservative dress and colors is the way to think.
As far as how to act, look the interviewer in the eye when with them. This is one of the easiest way to look confident. Don't ramble when giving answers. Don't bash old employers it makes you look negative. When talking about yourself, remember that you are selling yourself. Talk about your achievements on other jobs (employee of the month, etc.) , don't talk about not related business achievements.
One thing I tell people to do when getting ready for interviews is to do a practice one with a family member. It helps immensely and you won't feel as nervous.
Have a resume prepared, it makes you look more professional, and can help you jump into the potential hire pile.
dress up, pants, shirt, tie, jacket.

always act professional even if the employer tries to be lay back. Also its good to smile which has shown to be pleasing. Act normal but matture, confident, and professional!

sorry i had to edit this, i didn't know if it was for food service. Its its like burger king then just go alittle better than usual but if its a high class place, then go with what i said above.
Just be yourself. Don't be nervous, that is one thing employers look down upon. Be confident, but not cocky. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, you are selling yourself and your abilities to a company. As far as wardrobe, you should wear something business-like. No capri's or tank tops, no sandals or open toed shoes, if you're planning on wearing a dress or skirt, wear pantyhose, and NO jeans. Casual is not the look you want to achieve when going on any interview.
