Can anyone tell me what p&l means.i am looking for jobs in catering and one of the job requirments is p&l? P&L means profit & loss. You have to understand the costs of the business and how it affects the amount of profit gained. For example, at my restaurant, I have to control the costs of labor, food, utilities, etc. So, basically if you understand how to reduce waste and unneeded expenses, you gain a higher profit. As we know plums can be sour and a test of sourness was devised using Lemons. EG "that is 2 lemon tart" is is as sour as 2 lemons. To sweeten 2 lemons sufficiently 4 oz of sugar is required. This description is applied to sugar seasoning as well as salt and pepper. If you asked do you know about P&L you must know relative amounts of sesoning for cetain dishes and quantities. |
