I have a job interview monday with banker's life and casualty but....?

I applied for many jobs over the internet and i dont remember applying to them. does anyone know what kind of business they do and what kind of work enviroment it is?

I had been hired by Banker's a few years back and found it interesting ... here's some info from my own experience:
1) I was not an employee, it was mandatory to become an Independent Contractor, paperwork signed, so read the fine print and read up on this type of contract before signing (very important for any type of contract!) 2) I was expected to attend all meetings 2-3 times a week without any type of pay/mileage compensation -even though the branch office was over an hour's distance away, 3) I realized (not at first)that the ones who brought in business right away (usually buying for themselves long term care contracts, etc.) were given better qualified leads, 4) You have to be state licensed (insurance products), so going to classes at your cost for about one week or so is a necessity, 5) The work environment depends on your assigned "trainer", with the realization that selling company products, especially within contest deadlines - is a competitive environment, 6) You can work from home, but remember this is not a salary, or hourly wage position, 7) If a customer signs a contract, they have a legal right to pull out, and if you've been paid - oh well, you have to pay the money back, 8) You have to pay company required insurance every month -this is not given to you ...
Some good things - if you have a good trainer and manager, you will learn a lot, and its great to help people (usually in the senior market - long term care, annuities, life insurance, etc.); If you have money in the bank to pay your bills for about 3 months or so, you will be better off; If you can go the long haul the potential to do well is available. Am I still with Bankers? No, my trainer went through new agents faster than ice melting on a hot day, but I sure gave it my best shot and learned a lot. Good luck to you!
