School district food service cashier positions? |
i'm going to an interview with the school district in the food services department as a cashier and it is a full time position and i am wondering how many hours a day or what the starting pay would be for such a position-if anyone happens to know or happens to work in the specific environment, please leave me a good yahoo answer, thank you! I work for one of the school in our county. I get about 7.25 hours a day. That is what my contract is for. We get paid monthly and I get all school holidays off and I am off in the summer with my kids. You will draw unemployment benefits during the summer. It is a wonderful job for me because I am on my kids schedule. You are not gonna get rich working for a school. I don't know what the salary would be. Probably a few more dollars than minimum wage. It depends on what state you live in. If you like kids, go for the job. You will be surprised how fast you get attached to the little rats even working in the kitchen and only seeing them a few minutes each day. They are sweet. Hello The exact amount per hour will vary depending on where you live, but typically you can expect 8-9 dollars per hour to start. The schedules can vary from 3 hours per day for part time up to 8 hours per day for full time. You might try your school district's website...They will usually post open positions with starting wages. Hope this helps! Good luck! Worked for a school district |
