Im having my sweet sixteen in november and i want to know is it cheaper to use a different catering service or use the venue's serivice?
While it may not be cheaper, it is usually better because they are in house and have full access to the facility.
Read their contract and ask if there are any fees associated with using outside catering firms. Some venues charge a fee if outside firms are used. If there is no fee, advise them that you intend to get quotes and give them the opporunity to compete for your business. By avoiding transportation expenses they should be able to be competitive if they want the business.
