Is your driving license checked whenever you apply for any waitstaff position? |
Is this true? If this is for the US, Wicked Good is almost correct. You will need to provide proof that you can work legally in the US. She stated that you need to provide proof that you are a citizen ... not true. This proof includes a social security number and a photo ID (drivers license, passport, etc.). The employer is required to keep copies of these on file. If your drivers license is the only thing you have for a photo ID, then yes, the employer will check it. If you don't have a photo ID, then, you'll to provide one. no thats not true............. I don't know what country you live in but if it's the USA then you will be asked to show proof of being a legal citizen when you are given a job. So not when you apply but definately when you are doing your new employee paperwork if you are hired. You will need a drivers license or some other form of ID along with social security information. They will copy the proof to put in your employment file along with your tax deduction information. Definite nooooo mate but depends where u live some country maybe law different. I live in Australia and positions like waitsatff employers sure they dont check license Law and own experience In the US your DL is often checked as is your criminal record. You do handle cash and credit cards. |
