Is waitressing easy? |
Is waitressing easy? if dealing with impacient customers and trying to remeber who ordered what and then getting yelled at if the chefs mess up is easy to you No. Its rated as one of the most stressful jobs. for me no!but not so hard it is upon the situation and what counrty you're in.when you are in your own country i may say that would be easier for you to do your job upon your knowledge and you can easily entertain your every guest, and it also depends to your boss....coz before my boss is so strict.....as in 1 mistake means no allowance for that day.but it's just a simple mistake which can be very easy to resolve..he spoiled every guest entering to his restaurant...we do understand his point but he did not treat us, his employees as part of his success...but now my boss is so friendly we hang out together, we eat together. he treat us as his friends and as a part of his family...now i'm so happy and glad i've found this one...by being a waitress... no it is not. in fact it was the worst job i ever had and i would never do it again!!!!! well it all depends on you really. If you are a people person an you handle stress really easy then i'm sure it wont be too bad on you. But you have to look at both sides first: Negative: 1) you have to remember everything on the menue an be able to explain to the customer what the meal consist of an if others have like it in the past.... 2)some customers are just plainly "RUDE" and theres nothing you can do about it but be nice right back to them...you'll just have to take crap from people. 3)you can not be shy b/c you will have strangers you have never met b4 coming to you with questions and much more... Positive: 1)depending on how good you are and if people like you, you can make some pretty good money depending your tips... 2)you get to meet some new people, (nice customers ), that will talk to you and make your day brighter just because they're nice people. 3)you get a discount on your food when you go eat there, so you can take your friends out one day and they usually get a discount too since they're with you...(if your feeling nice lol) - But these are only a few things to take into consideration, so before applying just think about it ok. Have a good day. No, but hard work never is. |
