Can someone just say if this is worth trying to get a job or not, not to get hopes up? |
After finishing culinary school, is it going to work to try to get a job from a standpoint of a background search? Can someone just tell me. More than a few years ago all of it: -Taken to a hospital for threatening that you wanted to die. -Found in back seat of car w/ someone -Found sleeping in car due to being homeless -It didn't go as far as being told to the law; at a store when on prescription medications accidentally took an item from the store; went into their database for people taking w/out paying Driving record: about 4 traffic tickets 2 failure to appears resolved now Credit history: pretty bad due to anemia for 2 years I suspect managers also have access to mental health records &medical records though its against the law see; there is - Raped by stalker; police have photos of raped parts. -about a year of counseling with a state run facility.There are records there of stress due to abusive parents; diagnosises given -48 hour hold -Extremely large amount of visits for anemia Lots of times a prospective employer will not check that kind of history, only look at you as a person if this is your first job. If they do a background check and you don't get the job, just keep trying other places. Sometimes you have to start out small and build experience before you can make the big bucks. If you are good at what you do, word will spread and eventually nobody will care about your past, only your future with them. Good Luck!!! Most companies have strict criteria for disqualifications. We have legal guidelines that we must follow. If an applicant fails to disclose then that can be grounds for dismissal so don't lie. Generally your driving record and traffic citations have no relevance. Health records are not checked. If you have a pre existing condition that limits your ability to preform the task that would be to your benefit to disclose you should tell. Our checks generally look for arrests for theft, violence or indications of anti social behavior. If your background check does not pass you will be given the information an given an opportunity to correct any mistakes. We always tell the applicant why or what did not pass. Good luck |
