I wish I could find a good "servers network" for this one! I'm an undergraduate student at the College of W&M, and I'm trying to change jobs -- I'm currently waiting tables at a miserable independent restaurant, and am struggling there, both financially and mentally! Is there a fun, friendly, lucrative restaurant in the area you can refer me to ? I would prefer answers from those who have experience serving at these restaurants. Please let me know if there are good places to serve in Williamsburg!
this answer is a little dated (I graduated in '98), but several of my friends worked at Barrett's. It was a good gig--good money, and a good environment.
I personally worked at one of the Sal's pizza places. The one I worked at is out of business now...but I'd avoid the second rate tourist spots like them. Low bills = low tips. |
