I really hate my job and very tired from all the physical stress. But I don't want to leave it cuz I make good money and the benefits are awesome. How can I make myself like this job until I finish with my schooling? I know it sounds stupid, but I really don't want to quit yet. I just want it to be tolerable for another year. Try to find a lighter job so that you can focus on your studies better. Even if it pays less. I admire your ambition and plans to finish schooling. That is the right attitude. There are now online courses, which will enable you to get a degree in 2 years while you work. An education is a long-term investment. It will put you in good jobs. It will also give you a lot of self-respect. Money is not everything. There are learning years and earning years. It is generally not a good idea to prioritize work before education. It is like putting the cart before the horse. Peace and blessings! IF you're a Christian then remember that it says in the Bible: Whatever you do, do for the glory of God. That goes for your job too. FORGET the boss. FORGET the customers. Work--manual labor--is in many ways a dose of humility. How are you doing it? Can you perform a boring or bad job as if it is the greatest job in the world, in honor of the one who gave it to you? Because after all you ARE blessed to have this job, yes? There are people who are unemployed and cannot find work, yes? See it as the gift it is! See it as a challenge to work for God, not for yourself or someone else. Praise God by your effort and your ethic. I hate mine too.. but its something we have to do. I work full time and Im also a mum, so I get exhausted. You just need to take it a week at a time, and think about the fact that eventually, you will graduate and be in the position to move into another role. Thats the only thing that gets you through! If it was meant to be fun, it wouldnt be called work :) Im a mum and a recruitment consultant when youre in the job, concentrate on it and forget whatever outside your job, the same thing when you're in school.. always concentrate on one thing at a time.. and relax your mind.. I don't know what to tell you, I guess the key is tolerance, then try to play it for another year. |
