Starbucks for 7.80 per hour?

Would anyone of you expect actually higher salary for working company like Starbucks?

Yes, they offer excellent health insurance for part-time workers who work at least 20 h/week, but I am not sure if I will work there more than 1 month, unless I worked at another location closer to my school. So benefits does not much concern me .

At $7.80/hr, after taxes, you couldn't even afford to purchase one of their beverages with an hour's pay. Source(s): http://www.google.com/search?q=starbucks...
quit a job then work at McDonald's eh .. anyway keep your job then do job hunting then get a job then quit your starbucks that is way you keep your pay check coming to you than quit earlier then cannot find a job for how long who knows ok good luck
I would not expect more. It also depends on location.
Actually, That is a high starting rate. Most places like starbucks start out around 7.25 or 7.50. Yes, you can't support your self on that! If you take the job, work your butt off and become a shift supervisor or manager you will make around 10.00
If you're only going to work there for a month, then you're wasting Starbucks' time they're taking to train you. That being said, for working there only a month this is probably the best offer you're going to get. CA's minimum wage is $7.50 - that's what most of us CA people are working for. Since you live in IL your state minimum wage is probably lower than CA, and this is a pretty good offer for an entry-level job.
That's an o.k. rate. here in Utah, min. wage is 6.75 (it could be worse-so work where you can untill you find a better paying job.)
