What is the best way to ask for a job?

for part time job.. such as waiter.. should we just say straight to the point or what..any special skill that will makes us sounds more confident? thanks a lot! :)

hi, may i speak to the manager. are you hiring at this moment?
went I still study a Univercity I always look for a part time job on holiday. I just go to the place that I think is willing to give a part time job and ask at the counter they sure will ask you to meet the person in change.
Probably experience... If you've worked in other kinds of restaurants.

But, if you are a regular at the place, you may have a better shot. Maybe be a customer for a bit, frequent the place and be friendly with the staff. Then ask in a couple weeks. I got a job that way one time.
walk into the restaurant dressed appropriately and with your references and resume. ask for the manager and inquire if the restaurant is hiring.
Tell them you are customer driven and that your number one priority is customer quality of life. They will be drooling.
