How to be a better employee?

I work at arby's and was wondering how to be a better employee?

Do whatever it is you decide to do with the best of your ability. Be on time and dont make excuses for yourself. Bosses see this stuff
you need to gain trust. if they do trust you ... you receive everything. but dont spoil it, once youve done wrong everything is a waste.
simple..love ur company and ur job..then u need no effort to be the best employee....keep rocking.... ;-)
I would always make sure to stay busy and be on time. I have worked in the foodservice industry for a long time and this is some of the things they look at in an employee. If you find yourself with nothing to do, go stock up the napkins and things in the lobby or sweep. Your boss will surely notice what a great job you are doing. Heck...you might even get a raise.
personal experience
Take extra hours when asked if you can. Be on time. Don't take too many days off. Be willing to do different things and ask for work to do when you don't have anything to do. Help your coworkers if they are overwhelmed.
