Where can i go to Culinary School locally?

I live in Murrieta ca (92584) Do you need to go to school to work as a chef? Any info that will help please..

you always have to move up no matter were u start. it would be best if u went to school cause you would learn lots of stuff that you wouldn't know about. just to apply for a saute chef at certain places they test you by giving you a mystrery basket which is like those cooking shows that you have to come up with food to make with what they give you. go to school
The Culinary Institute of America, especially a branch located in Pasadena, California offers a 2-year fully degreed program for $58,000 as well as an affiliate 6-months hands-on cooking class for $20,000 [via the Red Kitchen in South Pasadena and Hollywood, CA].

A more reasonably priced culinary course is a 2-year offering at Los Angeles Trade Tech College ("LATTC") for $975 total.

Good luck!
