I work at dairy queen (PLEASE READ)? |
well thats not the question but here it is ok I work at a fast food restraunt and the inspectors are coming and this girl I work who is the crew leader told me that they was going to watch me I have only been working there a month so I still trying to get faster but she toldme that the way it was for me right now that would for sure that the inspectors would make my boss fire but he owns the place he jsut uses the name by the way it is dairy queen so can they do this I mean I dont mess up I just need to get faster they will be coming in a couple of days I might not be there but I just want to know can they do that will I really be fired and I'm not the only slow person theres 3 more people so that would not be fair if they just got rid of me oh and I asked my boss and he told me they could not fire only he could so what do I believe please help I need answers I really ne this job thanks. Dairy Queen is a franchise. They send out teams to do inspections and make recommendations to store owners that help them run their business in keeping with Dairy Queen expectations. They grade the franchisee and make recommendations. If they see that you are totally a screw up and doing things thay are real bad, they could suggest that they get rid of you. The fact that you are slow and just starting there, isn't enough of a reason. Your boss hired you, your boss is the only one to fire you. You did right by speaking to your boss. The other employee sounds like they are just trying to mess with you and maybe get you to quit. Do your job and listen to your boss. You need to sprinkle your writing with periods. I think the inspectors would be more concerned if you didn't wash your hands, than if you're not 'fast' enough. What are you asking if anything? Look They can't fire you with a health inspector there because of speed in your job, as a matter of fact health inspectors are not looking for speed but cleanliness. If you just make sure you do your job and you need to be slow that is the best thing for you to do. Make sure your station is CLEAN! You will be fine. I work in a restaurant and have been in this situation several times. They probably wont fire you, and the waitress is just jealous or something so she wants to make you nervous and will try to screw you up. Stay calm and everything will be fine. just try to do the best job that you can whether the inspector is coming or not and chances are they wont be watching just you they will be going over the whole place So your slow. That could not be reason enough to fire you. She is just trying to speed you up. The key word is "fast food." So yes you must be quick. If anything, they could possibly make it so unbearable there that you will want to quit. You would have to do something else like not wash your hands or come in late, or miss your shift, or even worse loose some money. |
