How much would a chef just out of culinary school make right off the bat. On average.?


Just wondering, after say a 36 week course, and maybe a 2 year, maybe one year

They make $15-20/hr in Las Vegas because they're unionized. This is not as the chef, but as one of his helpers. Chefs (the head guy/girl) make around 65-75K/yr in Vegas. The Paris will actually send you to France to leanr how to cook if you're really good.

Not a lot...
Currently in Los Angeles downtown, a beginning chef earns around $30,000 annually. Unfortunately, most salary indexes show that chefs, in general, are not high earners.
