My job interview went really well ,today they called my employer .does that mean they're gonna hire me?

At this point, it means that they are verifying your work record, and work ethic.
It is a good sign, and shows that you are in the running, and they are interested.

It does not mean that they are going to hire you; however, I am pretty sure they are impressed with you. Do not let that bother you. Stick with your plans regardless of why you want to leave your present employer.
It all depends. Are they doing a background check? Or do they have to do a background check? If everything checks out and they do not have anything else for you to do, then I think you have it.
They are considering it.
