How much do you get paid to deliver food, especially pizza? |
If you are a delivery driver for food not counting the money you get per hour just being on the clock, about how many hours a day do you work and about how many tips do you get a day? Do you get a delivery charge? Do you ever get gratuity? my boyfriend gets a delivery charge of like 1.25 plus usually around 50 to 100 dollars a night in tips My buddy gets at least $15/hr in tips alone delivering for Domino's in Salt Lake City, Utah. Late evenings and weekends are best for tips. Friend who delivers My friend makes $2.00 a delivery and tips usually around $70.00 a night, he works evening about 8hrs. A lot depends on where & when you work and what part of town. I delivered pizza's for awhile with different companies and found that parts of town where people have more money you'll do much better in tips. How much you make in tips depends on how much volume (busy) the place is your working at. Some companies pay more depending on how much you deliver. My experience was $1-2 tip per delivery was average. Also the larger the order the more the tip usually. Most days you will work about 6-8 hours sometimes more on the weekends. Depending on what time you come in. If I came in at 5p during the week I was gone by 12a. Weekends if I came in at 5p I would clock out by 1 or 2a. Yes you should get all or a percentage of the delivery charge. Every company compensates it drivers differently. I preferred areas with a lot of apartments because the store for that area would would usually stay busy esp. on weekends.
