Hooters waitress?

ok so im thinking about working at hooters but im concerned about 2 things...
1) will this effect my chances of getting a job teaching in the future
AND
2) would a guy not want to date me SERIOUSLY because of that. i mean would you want your girlfriend to work somewhere where she is being checked out all the time?

To answer your questions:

1) Will this effect my chances of getting a job teaching in the future?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! A company that is open-minded knows that what you're doing now is not a reflection of what you want to be doing in the future! Any employer who refuses to see that, you don't want to work with them anyway! Look at this job at Hooters as just a pit-stop. You're just doing this to pay your bills, right? Plus, jobs are so hard to come by, you gotta do what you gotta do anyway to keep food on the table! If employers can't see that either, then screw them!

2) Would a guy not want to date me SERIOUSLY because of that? Would you want your girlfriend to work somewhere where she is being checked out all the time?

If a guy doesn't want to take you seriously or even date you, then he's nothing but an insecure, selfish, jealous, cold-hearted, imbecile who isn't worth the time of day or the jelly on your toast! It's his loss! And to be truthful, i wouldn't mind having a girlfriend who works in a place like that where she's being checked out all the time. Why? Because i'm not insecure. I know what i got. And as long as she's being faithful and not bringing me no bad news (or diseases), she's ok in my book!
its a job as a server?? its not like ur a stripper, people make a big deal about hooters but its a great place to eat and drink i luv it and yes guys would date u seriously!
Well I wouldn't advise putting it on your resume but having no work history at all is not good as well. Also, most guys like to stare at the hooters waitresses not necessarily date them.
You would probably make good tips by working there- but I would look for something else. Do you really want "Hooters" on your resume? If you are planning on being a teacher, I would definately look elsewhere. Good luck!
Why would the guy not want to date you seriously if you are also intelligent, funny and easy going. Unless of course, he is insecure.

As a guy, I would say that where you work has no bearing on anything else about you. In fact, working at Hooters means that you must be good looking too. Add that to the funny etc comment from earlier, any guy that says no to 2) would be an idiot !!

As for your teaching job, your work at Hooters is irelevant to that field so why even mention it?? Unless, the principal hangs out at that Hooters :)
I'm willing to bet, that you can put in to your CV something like "worked 12 months in a restaurant/bar as a waitress", and nobody will ask, where exactly...
I would work there just to see the handbook! Its suppose to be frickin funny...example, 'when your getting ready for work, put on your makeup as tho your a famous model getting ready to walk down that cat walk'

but if you can get the job and make $$$$$ go for it!
