Do I need experience before going to culinary school?

I have worked as a sushi chef for almost 3 years now and I would like to goto culinary school to learn how to cook in a real kitchen. I don't cook food in a kitchen so will my experience as a sushi chef help me if I end up going to a culinary school?

No experience needed. I just enrolled myself, and they start at the very basics, so that everyone is on the same page. They pretend everyone knows nothing, and go from there!
Your experience as a sushi chef should help when you begin culinary school because at least you are a little ahead of the curve than other new students who has no type of foodservice experience at all.
