Help. I just got divorced, battle custody and I need a job. Does anyone know of a genuine work at home job?plz

I'm so sorry for the situation you're in. Bless your heart! ((HUGS))

There ARE legit things out there to do from home. Here are some things to consider:

There are two different types of work at home income. Work at home JOBS are like telecommuting. You have a boss and guaranteed assignments. You get those done in a timely fashion and you've got a paycheck, and you probably don't have to pay anything (unless it's something like transcription work and you're paying for your equipment). But your time isn't as flexible with this type of work. You can find legit listings in the telecommuting folder at wahm.com.

Then there are work at home BUSINESSES. These usually do require some sort of money from you but this is okay if you are paying for products. Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon are some of the well known one for this type of business. I'm in Watkins (it's been around since 1868 and provides the best quality kitchen spices, mixes, etc. in my opinion!) When you join one of these companies, you are paying for your business to get started. You can't start a business without something to sell, material to provide information, etc. If you are paying for this type of thing it's okay. The amount you pay depends with each company. You should be very sure to know exactly what you are paying for. These can also be fun when you get into something you enjoy and if you want, they can get you out of the house as well (if you want to do parties, they certainly aren't necessary).

Now, I stress that you should NEVER have to pay money for lists of "prospects," just for "information," etc. You should only be willing to pay money to a very reputable company for products. Anything else is a scam.

Now that I've made clear the two different type of work at home opportunities, you've got one of the most important things to figure out: What are your passions, hobbies, etc. What do you naturally enjoy doing? Any type of work you do from home needs to be something you won't hate. It doesn't matter if your neighbor is truly making a million bucks with ease with some company, if you don't naturally enjoy doing that type of thing, you're going to be lucky to make $10. Does this make sense? Think about what you like to do and go from there. There is something out there for nearly any type of niche. For example, I love to write so I went into newspaper work and then started to freelance once I quit my job to be home with my children. I also love to cook so Watkins is a great fit for me. Also, I enjoy helping people so I started doing web stuff that provided resources for people (see my profile).

Okay, the last thing: There is one thing that you can do that won't cost you anything. Google adsense can be set up for free on a free blog and you can make money doing this. BUT it takes time, time, TIME and patience, patience, PATIENCE and WORK to see significant income this way. It takes a while to get the kind of traffic you would need to make this a reliable source of income.

If you're looking for ideas on legit opportunities, I suggest you check out wahm.com. They have SO much information there and have been a big help to me. Also check out passiontosuccess.com. I hope I've been of some help! : ) Source(s): http://greatliving.sahmsnwahms.com...

No such thing. File for child support and get a real job.
It could be hard to find unless you are starting your own home business, but possible. In most jobs that let their employees work from home, you usually have to work at the office for a period of time before they let you telecommute. Of course at first they don't know if you're going to be productive or trustworthy, that's why they don't let you telecommute at first.

You should interview at the temp agencies in your area & let them know you're looking for jobs that have possibilities of working from home, even if not right away. My husband found his previous job through a temp agency (he quit to go to law school). He worked for an insurance company. He worked at the office for about a year & then he was able to work from home 4 days a week, and eventually he only had to come to the office when there was a lunch meeting, which wasn't very often.
Be very careful, there are a lot of companies to choose from. Be sure there is a money back guarantee or I would pass. Jennifer
