What is the minumum wage i should ask for at dominos working as a delivery guy? |
I recieved a call from dominos asking if i wanted to work there as a delivery boy . I have always worked in construction but lost my job to because company was slow. I have no idea what the pay is and what exactly my duties will be. So can any one please help me, and tell me what the pay is. Also if any one knows how you are paid, by hours, tip , use of vehicle , and so on. I live in Phoenix, AZ You will be paid a wage plus tips you receive from customers. I worked in the Western Regional headquarters for them some years back. Depends on if the local store is a company owned store or a Franchise owned unit. (I believe that the stores in Arizona are still franchise units, but may have been sold back to the company) The hourly wage is not very high, around federal minimum hourly wage, your larger earning potential is in the tips you get from customers. Typically your duties will be delivering pizza's to customers as they are ordered. In between runs you will be asked to help out inside the store. (Sweeping up, cleaning up, folding boxes, restocking the make shift line. May cross train you to make the pizzas, take phone orders.) I believe you may also get some kind of per mileage rate as well, but you have to check that. You will need to use your own vehicle and provide proof of insurance and a clear driving record. You should speak to the store manager/owner to ask them this as it is up to him/her. Get a clear picture of what they expect, how many hours per week they are offering. Each case and each person may vary. Some of the good drivers made more money than the store managers. Friday, Saturday nights are the busiest times and prime work shifts to request. Depends on what you want to put in to it. The guys who pick up the newspaper as they are walking up to the door, clean shirt, dressed nicely, make better tips. Go get another full time job, don't work at domino's well the answer is in your question...min. wage, plus tips used to deliver pizza If you can get minimum wage, you're doing fairly well, honestly, as the pizze delivery guy makes a lot more in tips than the wages anyway. |
